Privacy Policy
This document provides important information about the processing of personal data in connection with the operation of the Motoe.cz online store. The operator of Motoe.cz and the controller of personal data is RULYT s.r.o., company registration number: 25602217, with its registered office at 5. května 435, 440 01 Dobroměřice (“RULYT”).
Personal data processing is governed principally by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”).
What personal data do we process?
We process personal data you provide to us. For example, when you order goods or services, we need the information marked as mandatory during checkout, particularly your first name, surname and delivery address. Without it, we could not deliver your goods correctly. We also need your email address to send you an order confirmation, which also confirms the concluded purchase contract, and a copy of the Terms and Conditions and claims rules.
You may also provide optional information when ordering. It helps us perform the contract more effectively. For example, if you provide a telephone number, we can send delivery information. You provide optional information voluntarily.
If you give the relevant consent to sharing data for purchase reviews, necessary order details and your email address may be passed to Heureka or Google so they can send a satisfaction questionnaire. Consent is voluntary, is not a condition of purchase and may be withdrawn.
Personal data obtained from sources other than you
We may also process your personal data as part of joint marketing campaigns. We may combine it for marketing campaigns or for proper performance of a contract.
If your personal data is transferred to another party, we will inform you in advance, including identifying the recipient. If someone transfers your personal data to us, they must also inform you in advance.
Personal data of other people that you provide
If you provide another person's personal data, such as a delivery recipient's details, provide only what is necessary to process the order and inform that person about the transfer and this notice. We do not require consent to these conditions for processing necessary to perform the contract.

Contact for personal data protection
For personal data protection matters, contact RULYT at info@rulyt.cz.
Why do we process personal data?
- We process personal data to provide our services. To conclude a purchase contract with you and allow you to shop at Motoe.cz, we need your identification and contact details. Your consent is not required for this processing; the legal basis is performance of a contract and, where applicable, steps taken before entering into a contract. We also process personal data for further obligations arising from our services, particularly returns and claims.
- We may process personal data to protect our rights and legitimate interests, typically in a dispute. Your consent is not required in these cases.
- The law directly requires certain processing, for example retaining tax documents for the statutory period.
What legal bases allow us to process your personal data?
For each processing purpose, we always rely on a legal basis:
- In most cases, processing is necessary to conclude and perform a contract. Your consent is not required.
- In some cases, we process data based on our legitimate interests, for example sending commercial communications or asserting claims and protecting RULYT's rights and legitimate interests.
- Another legal basis is compliance with an obligation imposed by applicable law.
- In certain cases, processing is based on your consent, for example to provide benefits to registered customers or evaluate the quality of our services.
Who has access to the data?
Your data remains with us. However, certain companies and other persons working for us have access because they help operate the Online Store. They include:
- The Upgates platform operator: EVici webdesign s.r.o., registered office at Petra Bezruče 139, 747 91 Štítina, company registration number: 28598661.
- Companies involved in dispatching goods: DPD and Geis.
- Companies involved in processing payments: Comgate a.s.
- Marketing agency: Baloo&Groot s.r.o.
We provide carriers only with data needed for delivery, particularly your name, address and necessary contact details. Sharing data for delivery is based on performance of the contract. We provide Heureka and Google with data for purchase review questionnaires based on your relevant consent. If you choose and apply for financing, we provide the relevant finance provider with necessary order data. The provider decides whether to grant credit, not our Online Store.
Do we transfer your data outside the European Union?
When international services such as Google are used, processing may take place outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers may occur only if the requirements of Chapter V of the GDPR are met, for example based on an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards. You may request information about a particular transfer and the safeguards used through the contact details above.
Would you like to know what personal data we process about you?
You may contact us at any time to request details of the processing of your personal data. We will provide detailed information free of charge and, where applicable, a copy of the data processed. This is your right of access.
Only if a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, particularly because of its repetitive nature, may we charge a reasonable fee reflecting administrative costs or refuse to act, in accordance with Article 12(5) of the GDPR. We must demonstrate the reasons for doing so. Repetition alone does not automatically justify refusal.
What other matters can you contact us about?
- Rectification: you may ask RULYT to correct personal data that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
- Erasure: you may ask RULYT to delete your personal data. This requires one of the following circumstances: (a) the data is no longer necessary for its original purpose; (b) you have withdrawn consent; (c) the data was processed unlawfully; (d) deletion is necessary to comply with a legal obligation; or (e) the data was collected in connection with the offer of information society services.
- Restriction of processing: you may ask RULYT to restrict processing where: (a) you contest the accuracy of your data; (b) processing is unlawful but you oppose erasure; (c) you need the data for asserting claims even though RULYT's original purpose has been fulfilled; or (d) you have objected to processing and it has not yet been established whether RULYT's legitimate interests override yours.
- Data portability: you may ask RULYT to provide your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format or transfer it directly to another controller. This applies only where processing is based on a contract or your consent and is carried out by automated means.
- You may withdraw consent to personal data processing at any time.
- You may submit a request to exercise your rights using the contact details above. If we have reasonable doubts about your identity, we will request only additional information necessary to verify it under Article 12(6) of the GDPR. A request is not conditional on using a particular email address and is not automatically rejected after 14 days. We will inform you of the outcome without undue delay and no later than one month after receipt. Depending on the complexity and number of requests, we may extend this by a further two months; we will notify you of the extension and its reasons during the first month. If we refuse your request, we will explain the reasons and inform you of your right to complain to a supervisory authority and seek a judicial remedy.
When can you object to personal data processing?
You have the right to object particularly in the following cases:
a) You may object to processing carried out by RULYT based on its legitimate interests. In that case, your data will no longer be processed unless RULYT demonstrates that its legitimate interests override yours.
b) You may object to processing for direct marketing. In that case, your personal data will no longer be processed for that purpose.
How long do we process your personal data?
We process order data for the period necessary to handle the order and fulfil related obligations. To protect rights, we retain it for the relevant limitation periods and, where applicable, for the duration of ongoing disputes. We retain VAT tax documents under section 35 of Act No. 235/2004 Coll. for 10 years from the end of the tax period in which the transaction took place. You may withdraw marketing consent; data necessary to demonstrate consent or honour an objection may be retained to the necessary extent on another legal basis.
The processing period depends on our contractual and legal obligations, such as statutory document retention. In some cases, it depends on the duration of your consent. We always dispose of data that is no longer necessary for its purpose or for which we have no legal basis.
What can you do if you believe RULYT is processing your personal data unlawfully?
You have the right to complain to the supervisory authority, the Office for Personal Data Protection. If any of your questions remain unanswered, contact us using the details above.
Your rights in connection with personal data processing
The GDPR gives you, among other rights, the right to ask what personal data we process, request access to it, have it updated or corrected, request restriction of processing, obtain a copy of the data, request erasure in certain circumstances and request portability in certain cases. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests.
If you believe we are not handling your data correctly, you have the right to complain to the Office for Personal Data Protection or take your claims to court.
